About

I am Senior User Experience Engineer at Resonance, a full-stack fashion creation platform that enables designers and other creatives to design, sell, and make garments on-demand, at scale, with no inventory, minimums, or waste.

I shape delightfully inspiring user experiences and creative tools that allow anyone to wield the infinite possibilities of creation we put in their hands, at their unique human scale of expression—from the virtuoso CFDA award-winning designer planning their next big collection, to the mother who just wants a drawing her child made to come to life as a piece of clothing.

(And you! Design your own clothes or launch your own brand with create.one!)

I also designed and built ONE Experience, the fashion industry's first verifiable, unit-level sustainability tracking tool. Every last drop of water, millijoule of electricity, provenance of every yard of material, proof that your garment was made by workers paid a living wage rather than children chained to sewing machines, it's all there, complete with live videos of your garment being made.

In 2023 I launched my own fashion brand, AFFALÉ, after years of working alongside other fashion designers and falling in love with their way of receiving and returning energy into the world. The brand debuted with its first collection, Manifeste du surréalisme!, and in January 2025, I hosted AFFALÉ’s first fashion show at the four-hundred-year-old Château du Feÿ in the Burgundy region of France.

AFFALÉ is a love letter to the madcap optimism of the early Surrealists, as well as an homage to Marie Laurencin, the French avant-garde painter and printmaker. 'So last century, so next century' is the ethos of the brand; this generative tension finds its way into each piece I craft, among them the stunning, fully-reversible L'Invention du Papillon Gown, the daring, flaring Pantalon Rixes, the decadent, silk-lined, canvas-exterior Apollinaire Duffel, and the love-stories-you-could-frame Calligrammes.

I write about the behind-the-scenes interplay of fashion's eye and technology's force on AFFALÉ's Substack, including developing 3D-printed garment trim inspired by Yves Saint Laurent's symbology, and the story behind the brand's name. I also design unique pieces for unique lives with Atelier, a couture concept by AFFALÉ. If you're interested in becoming a private client, learn more here, or email me.

I have a deep passion for contemplative paths, healing work, and delicious experiences. I see myself as a kind of bioenergetic anagami, anchoring my meditative and wayfinding practices with a unique blend of fire kasina/tögal and PEMFs. I completed my degree at NYU in 2023 studying subjectivity, geometry, and electromagnetism, culminating in The New Neuroscience Lectures and The Nurture of Order.

Negative Facility is a blog where I track my ongoing research. Lately, I’ve been exploring and iterating on magnetic flux medicine, crainiosacral biodynamics, intranasal vasopressin, and multilateral stimulation. I’ve also open-sourcing my idiosyncratic ketamine protocol at keta.meme, and sometimes host therapy parlor games and digestion-centric dinner parties.

I am a composer, pianist, guitarist, singer, and drummer. I have played professionally since my early teens, living out my rockstar dreams on the Texas megachurch circuit.

High-level, novelistic improvisatory music is my homeland; I received formal training in jazz at Houston's storied High School For The Performing And Visual Arts. At HSPVA, I had the opportunity to receive mentorship from and perform with jazz impresario Jason Moran, who made a huge impact on my own approach to art by embodying tremendous attentive force with which an artist can exist.

My first album was Lowlands Gardens, a suite I originally composed for my senior recital; I'm currently recording my second album. Lately, I've been tinkering with my robotic drumkit, reverse-engineering the particular way Chris Dave nurtures his grids and grooves, and exploring the possibilities of polytempermental music.

On The Spectrum, On The Guest List is a serialized account of my fish-out-of-watering through New York City’s VIP party circuit. Growing up in something like a convent, it was news to me that all six-two, one-twenty-one-pounds of me, every lock of my long, blonde hair, was inherently, wildly valuable in these contexts.

It kind of broke my brain at first, to be prized for how one’s atoms are arranged, rather than how one has arranged atoms. Spooky action, sans-résistance. I found that there's a beautiful tension, for someone like me, to be cast as a human golden ticket. Melt this gold down, shape it whichever way you wish, it’s still only worth its weight. To be beautiful is to be a present tense, to bind specific points in space and time together in holy infatumony. What is it like, to be a present tense?

And so, curiosity stoked, I, unlikeliest of party animals, ventured to explore terra luxuriosus. I soon discovered one does not escape stalking the billion-footed beast unscathed. I am groped, I am shat on by a flock of birds, I stab a guy (not related to the groping); dreams and realities kaleidoscopically collide in Lynchian fashion; I transmute the Coaseian into the Faustian as I fully give myself over to this daemonic world.

As Oscar Wilde might say, were he tottering around in my stilettos—everything is about sex, but sex is about processing power. And OTSOTGL is my lil' TPU that could.

Quotes

'All adults, deep down, want to live forever within their own fairy tales, but many are willing to accept an idiosyncratic wardrobe as a consolatory talisman. To offer them such a thing is the opposite of cynical.'

// №.2 Determinative Nominism

'It’s hard to communicate what being marveled at feels like. Marveled at for how one’s atoms are arranged rather than how one has arranged atoms. You distrust it because you played no part in it. No cue-do-reward, no feedback loop. Spooky action, sans résistance.

Yes, technically, you reflect photons in a manner that finagles some other’s evolutionary circuits into firing in some way that choreographs the marveling. So does fire, so does food. So does money, in most. You refuse to believe you played dice with the universe and rolled perfection.

Because to fully grasp the magnitude of your winnings is to understand just as viscerally the variance in what life doles out is that high. And from your extreme vantage, it’s all a trough, all the way down. You simply refuse to read the altimeter in order to live.'

// (v) The Fleur Room

'One doesn’t calculate or compute, then, when using French hardware or software—one orders, with theologic and anthropomorphic connotations.'

// Computation Becomes Geometry

'Every foreigner says Texas in their cute, unique little way, varying the clip of the T, ranging from half an s to two full ones at the end, differing weights on either side of the barbell with the x at its center.'

// (v) The Fleur Room

'When fashion designers get together they talk about Form and Structure and Meaning. When consumers get together they talk about where you can buy cheap basics.'

// №.6 For Those About To Dress...

'Which, if you can muster more surface level-reading than the contents of Borges’s library printed on a Gabriel's horn, is kind of sweet and uplifting.'

// (i) TAO Downtown

'A nightclub that’s on the ground floor! Just like Rick’s, in Casablanca! Wow!'

// (i) Nebula

'I'm on the no-fly list, I'm a conscientious objector of ETOPS…'

// (s2) prologue

'As horseshoe theory would postulate, the distance between a faux-pas and a faux-yeah! is vanishingly slim.'
